Nourishing and Fun Snack
Ideas for Kids

  •    Air-popped popcorn or low fat microwave popcorn
  •   Ants on a log (celery sticks filled with peanut butter   and raisins lined up as ants)
  •   Assorted fresh fruits
  •  Baby carrots/veggies dipped in salsa, low fat cottage cheese, or Greek yogurt with salad dressing like ranch.
  •  Low fat cheese like Laughing Cow or Bonne Bell on whole grain crackers (like Triscuits)
  •  String cheese with sliced apples or pears
  •  Finger sandwiches on whole-grain bread or pitas
  •  Fruit or veggie kabobs dipped in low-fat yogurt
  •  Frozen melon balls or Frozen grapes
  •  Frozen fruit bars
  • Skinny Cow low fat desserts; Ben and Jerry’s Fro Yo
  • Fruit smoothie made with fresh whole fruit and low-fat milk
  • Low-fat yogurt with fresh fruit
  • No-sugar applesauce sprinkled with cinnamon
  • Peanut butter on apple wedges
  • Rice cakes or popcorn cakes
